This is a list of the items of merchandise available for sale on board the container ship upon which I went around the world in 2016.  I am posting it because, before the trip, I spent hours trying to find out this information.  I felt it would be very helpful to find out what I could or couldn't buy on board ship.  To know this would help me plan my trip, at least to the degree that I would know if I needed to take one tube of toothpaste, for example, or two. I never did find any such list on the Internet.  This may, indeed, be the only such list ever posted.

I hope that you will find this useful.  The contents of the "Slop Chest" (as the supply room for this sort of thing is often called) will vary from ship to ship.  On some ships, I've heard, you can buy beer and spirits from the Slop Chest.  Not on my ship.

The Slop Chest will not likely be a shop or even a room.  It will be a list.  One of the ship's officers will be in charge of it.  You look at the list, let him know what you want, and he will deliver it.  You will be billed at the end of the trip.

I did not put in prices as they will change, like everything else, over time.  They were at "Wal-Mart level" on my ship.  They don't gouge.
